Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year Superior School for the Performing Arts family!

I am excited about the new school year. Newness creates a space for new possibilities, a new space for
growing in ways that we have never grown in before and new hope.

As I reflect on the last year and prepare for the upcoming school year, I think about some of the
successes and new experiences from last year, I consider:

● Members of the cast of the Broadway play “The Wiz” conducted a master dance class with our
   students on site.

● Students starred in “Sa’Kya’s Dance" and “Life on Track” in collaboration with The Art of Me.

● Students attended Gala/Red Carpet events like the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival’s
    youth film debut and the community release of “SaKy’a’s Dance” and “Life on Track”.

● Superior School for the Superior Arts students were featured in the District’s Spring Music Extravaganza.

● Several of our 6th grade students were accelerated as 7th grade students on the Ohio State Tests in ELA.

We challenge and support our students to exemplify excellence through their attendance, academic
achievement, openness to having new experiences, and overall new heights.

Again, “Welcome back” or “Welcome” to Superior School for the Performing Arts, where it is our
mission to enrich and enhance the lives of the whole child, while exploring the arts.

I look forward to our partnership in creating experiences for our students that promote creativity, positive
self-expression and excellence.
